What this site collects, why, and who handles it.

Last updated 29 October 2026

This site is run by Hugh Tran (Hugh Tran Astro and HT Press). It collects as little as it can, and never sells or shares your details for advertising.

No tracking

There are no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party trackers on this site. The search on the Journal runs entirely in your browser.

What I collect, and why

  • Booking and contact forms. Your name, email, the message you send and, for readings, your birth data. These reach me by email through Netlify, which hosts the site, and are used only to answer you and prepare your reading.
  • Orders. Payments are handled by Stripe. I see your name, email, shipping address (for physical items) and what you bought; I never see your full card number.
  • Classes. If you sign in, your email address is used to send you a one-time sign-in link (delivered by Resend) and to check which classes you have joined.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email (and first name, if you give it) is kept by my newsletter provider. Every letter has an unsubscribe link.

Cookies

The site sets one cookie, and only if you sign in to the classes: ht_member, which keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Your cart is kept in your own browser’s storage and is never sent to me until you check out. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page to prevent fraud.

How long I keep things

Order and payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Messages and booking details are kept while we’re in touch and deleted on request.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you at any time. Write to me through the contact page and I’ll reply within 30 days.

Who handles your data

  • Netlify (hosting and forms)
  • Stripe (payments)
  • Resend (sign-in emails for classes)
  • My newsletter provider, if you subscribe

Each is bound by its own privacy terms and only processes what is needed to provide its service.
