Characters

Nox Atra is a blackletter display face drawn for astrologers, with a Roman beside it. Its astrology glyphs are built in as required ligatures: type a colon, then the first letters of the name, and the glyph takes their place. :sol gives the Sun, :lun the Moon, :mar Mars, :tri a trine.

61 glyphs in all: the seven traditional planets and the moderns, the twelve signs (Capricorn in three forms), the aspects, the nodes as Rahu and Ketu, Chiron, Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Vesta and Lilith, the Lots of Fortune and Daimon, retrograde, eclipse, and the fixed stars from Aldebaran to Vega. A reference sheet in the user manual lists every code.

The download holds the font as OTF, WOFF and WOFF2, the user manual and the licence. It works in any app that uses fonts installed on your computer (Word, Pages, Adobe apps), but not in web-only apps such as Google Docs.

Licences: Desktop covers installing the font on one computer for print and image work. Desktop + Web adds self-hosting on one website. Studio covers up to five people. Get in touch for app, broadcast or larger licences.
